Sophia Nayyar
Sophia Nayyar is a student at American University who works as a communications liaison and photographer. Sophia is pursuing a double major in C.L.E.G. (Communications, Legal Studies, Economics, and Government, and Legal Studies). Jeff introduced Sophia to the Dollar Scholars project as he taught her economics course and told her about this non-profit organization. Sophia was inspired by this non-profit’s steadfast commitment to helping marginalized communities thrive while providing informational tools for success. Sophia envisions the Dollar Scholars project expanding into different communities in the D.M.V. and collaborating with other organizations. A fun fact about Sophia is that she is an avid parasailer who loves reading and swimming.
